Design Devlog #2

-What were your team's goals for the past couple weeks? (regarding your area of expertise)

For design portion I worked on creating a design for the title of the game, UI and a level layout.

-How did you work towards accomplishing those goals?

I used my knowledge in photo shop to create the look of the title and UI of the game and self taught myself how to use pro-builder in unity to design the layout of the level.

-Did you?

Yes.

-What has your process been?

In the beginning of the process I  wanted a more low poly look for the design but decided to go with creating it from the ground up using pro-builder and making it unique.

-What are your goals for the next week? (regarding your area of expertise)

To keep working on the level layout to improve the look and the lighting/shadows and to communicate with the team to see if the title and UI is something that can be implemented in the game.

-How will you go about accomplishing those goals?

I will continue to research how to use photoshop and unity/pro-builder more efficient to improve the look of the game.

-Playtesting Report

I've been explaining to friends and family what the game is about and have been receiving constructive criticism to make the games design and play good.

-What were you playtesting?

I've been play testing the paper prototype and taking notes from what others thought that can make the game better and fun.

-What did you want to learn?

I wanted to learn if what I have been designing for the game is good enough to implement in the game and been receiving positive feed back.

-Who were your playtesters?

My wife and I have been playing the paper prototype during this quarantine and I've been talking to friends and family explaining the game the best I can and receiving feed back.

-What did you observe?

How the game can become better.

-What feedback did you receive?

Some of the feed back that I've been receiving is how the look of the game should be and how the game should play out. So far the games title, UI and level layout have been giving good feed back with minor improvements that I should make.

-What, if anything, will you do with that feedback?

I plan to use the feedback to make the game better and more interesting for the players to enjoy when they play.
